A few days after giving a powerful speech at the Golden Globe Awards, where she spoke out against the misconduct that is front and center in the entertainment industry, Oprah Winfrey is being called a hypocrite.
British singer Seal isn’t on board with Oprah being the face of change. In fact, he posted a photo on Instagram calling Oprah out for knowing about Harvey Weinstein’s antics.
On Tuesday, popular comedian and the creator of the hit animated show, “Family Guy,” Seth MacFarlane chimed in with his two cents on Winfrey being linked to a White House run.
“Oprah is beyond doubt a magnificent orator,” said MacFarlane. “But the idea of a reality show star running against a talk show host is troublingly dystopian. We don’t want to create a world where dedicated public service careers become undesirable and impractical in the face of raw celebrity.”
Many people, including Chrissy Teigen, jumped to Winfrey’s defense after Seal’s Instagram post.
Teigen responded in the comments section of Seal’s post with an interesting quip, “Hmm. Let’s just say we’ve all heard things about each other, haven’t we?”
Spill the beans, Chrissy.
